The Corporate Protocol Commission was formed in 2006 and is composed primarily of corporate in-house counsel. The Committee involved corporate counsel in an ongoing dialogue regarding innovations and trends in corporate conflict management, the future of the corporate legal function, and the changing relationships with outside counsel. Its purpose is to create and disseminate corporate-oriented products that will promote greater use of early dispute assessment and resolution processes. In 2009, the Commission helped draft CPR’s Early Case Assessment (ECA) Guidelines, in conjunction with the Early Case Resolution Committee.
