JPMorgan Chase will no longer submit disputes with credit-card customer to arbitration, in the wake of the departure from the business by two major arbitration providers this week.
The Domestic Policy Subcommittee of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform has completed its afternoon hearing, ""Arbitration or 'Arbitrary': The Misuse of Mandatory Arbitration to Collect Consumer Debts," and posted the witnesses' prepared comments.
American Arbitration Senior Vice President Richard W. Naimark will ask Congress this afternoon to examine arbitration fairness before the association will resume administering consumer debt collection matters.
