CPR Annual Awards Program

For more than two decades, CPR has promoted excellence in scholarship and practical achievement through its unique Annual Awards Program.  These awards recognize innovative processes, techniques, systems, commitment and scholarship in the resolution, prevention and management of major disputes.

As the field continues to grow and become more sophisticated, the search for effective problem solving approaches and best practices continues to move CPR’s mission forward.  Many times, it is the work of our colleagues, peers and CPR’s own members that inspires our activities and motivates us to spearhead innovation and promote excellence. We believe in celebrating these advancements and contributions to the field of conflict management.  Therefore, each year, CPR recognizes organizations, academic entities, and individuals for leadership in the field of ADR and for their commitment to principled and creative conflict management and resolution.

2009 CPR Award Winners

CPR presented its 27th Annual Awards on January 13 in New
York City.

The CPR Institute’s Awards Program honors outstanding scholarship and practical achievement in the field of alternative dispute resolution.  Award criteria focused on processes, techniques, systems, commitment, and scholarship which address the resolution, prevention or creative management of major disputes involving public or business institutions between corporations, between government and corporations, or among multiple parties. The review committee for the Awards comprises judges and lawyers from leading corporations, top law firms and academic institutions across
the U.S.

According to Kathleen A. Bryan, President and CEO of the CPR Institute, “As the ADR field grows more sophisticated, the search for effective problem solving approaches and best practices continues to move the CPR Institute’s mission forward.  It is for this reason, each year, the CPR Institute celebrates advancements, thought leadership and contributions to the field of commercial conflict management.”
