Bayer US LLC
(314) 694-2786

Scott Partridge is Head of U.S. Law, Patents & Compliance (LPC) at Bayer. Scott was appointed to this role on October 1, 2018. He is also a member of the U.S. Country Leadership Team.

Most recently, Scott served as Vice President of Global Strategy for Monsanto Company where he oversaw global competition policy, coordinated strategic advocacy on critical issues and led the company’s dispute resolution activities. While in this role, he developed and led a multifunctional team across Government Affairs, Law, Public Relations, Commercial Operations and Corporate Strategy to design and advance U.S. and international freedom to operate strategies for Monsanto.

Additionally, Scott designed and launched Monsanto’s unique relationship based dispute resolution and conflict avoidance model. With an innovative forward-looking focus, Scott created policies, established programs and negotiated long-term agreements with competitors which together led to the resolution of all disputes with those companies and successfully prevented new litigation. These sustainable programs put business people and scientists at the lead of strategic relationships, responsible for identifying potential conflicts and exploring opportunities to work together on future business ventures and new research collaborations. In recognition of these programs, the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR) honored Scott and Monsanto in 2016 with CPR’s inaugural Inspiring Innovation Award.  Scott is a member of the CPR Board of Directors and also serves on the Board of the American Arbitration Association International Centre for Dispute Resolution Foundation.

Scott first joined Monsanto as Deputy General Counsel in 2006, after 27 years in private practice. He led the international law function, managed litigation and guided the resolution of significant disputes.

Scott received his J.D. and LL.M. from Tulane University School of Law. He resides in St. Louis, Missouri with his wife Catherine.  Their two sons are also both Tulane graduates, one living in Houston and the other in New Orleans.  Scott is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys chasing fish and game birds.
