This year’s panelists and participants included leading jurists, an outstanding group of leading General Counsel, top attorneys, and international arbitration and mediation experts. The program initiated with a panel of leading present and former jurists who addressed the challenges facing the courts and discussed opportunities for systematic dispute resolution processes, both in connection with the courts and independently, addressing and ameliorating those challenges.

Other highlights included the launch of the DuPont-CPR ADR Counsel Workshops, which enables practitioners to adapt the in-depth material in the CPR-DuPont Corporate Global ADR Guide to their day-to-day needs, a panel addressed the impact of the Supreme Court’s decision in AT&T Mobility on a wide range of issues beyond consumer class actions, a panel addressed key developments on the international arbitration front, a panel focusing on the timing and elements necessary to successful mediation and the roles of the stakeholders in preparing for success, a panel addressed dispute resolution issues in the biotech/pharma industries, a panel addressed the potentially transformative impact of technology on dispute resolution, and an ethics panel addressed key issues that arise in mediation and arbitration.  Finally, CPR's popular In-house Counsel panel will address best practices in dispute resolution as a business process.
