Banking & Financial Services Committee Meeting

Monday, April 27, 2020 at 12:30pm

KPMG LLP, 345 Park Ave, New York, NY 10154

Either in person or via dial-in, please join members of the CPR Institute’s Banking & Financial Services Committee in New York for a lunch time meeting. This meeting will feature Tess Virmani, Associate General Counsel & Executive Vice President, Public Policy of the Loan Syndications and Trading Association and Michael Spafford, Partner, Paul Hastings, discussing issues relating to the phase out and the corresponding legal disputes that may result from LIBOR. LIBOR (standing for “London Interbank Offered Rate”) is an interest reference rate used for pricing in financial contracts valued at over $400 trillion globally. Due to its unreliability and its history of being “rigged,” it is being phased out at a time when it is still contained as a reference rate in many contracts.
