The Prologue to an Efficient ADR Proceeding: Key Aspects from the Corporate Perspective

A panel of senior in-house counsel from major corporations will share their reflections on the critical aspects to take into account at the preliminary stages of an ADR proceeding. The issues addressed will include the preferred venues for mediation and arbitration, the decision whether to hire external counsel and the qualities desired in mediators and arbitrators. The panel also will discuss the roles of in-house counsel and outside counsel, and explore what both can do to be as efficient and cost-effective as possible.
