Employment Disputes Committee

CPR regularly convenes this committee of in-house employment counsel, corporate defense attorneys, counsel from the plaintiff’s bar and neutrals to analyze, establish benchmarks and publish material on issues that are critically important to employment dispute resolution. The Committee is developing best practices for workplace disputes program design and has published Administered Employment Arbitration Rules and Employment Mediation Procedures for the resolution of employment disputes as well as studies of corporate employment ADR programs.

It has also launched an Employment-Related Mass Claims Task Force and an Administered Employment Arbitration Rules Subcommittee.

In the past, the Employment Disputes Committee collaborated with the Scheinman Institute of Cornell University’s ILR School to publish Cutting Edge Advances in Resolving Workplace Disputes.  As part of CPR’s Master Guide Series, this volume features practical insights from a group of accomplished ADR practitioners on ways to make workplace conflict management more effective. Most recently, the Employment Committee hosted a webinar titled “The Rise of COVID-19-Related Employment Claims”, “What Labor & Employment ADR Will Look Like Under the Biden Administration”, and "Ombuds Programs - The Power to Prevent Disputes
