Committees, Industry Alliances and Task Forces

One of CPR’s greatest strengths is the work produced by its members.

The world of dispute management continues to evolve rapidly with the advent of technology, an openness to new and creative approaches, criticism of current approaches, and the increasing need for more rapid and cost-effective ways of resolving business disputes.

The dynamic nature of these changes calls upon the collective wisdom of our diverse membership to determine how best to address them.

CPR does this through Committees, Industry Alliances and Task Forces.

  • The balanced interests of these networks provide a unique platform for analyzing the latest developments, both legal and practical, in all manner of dispute resolution.
  • Committees and Industry Alliances meet regularly to analyze trends and develop projects relevant to their practice areas and sectors.
  • Participation in CPR Committees and Industry Alliances is a members-only benefit.
(Non-members are welcome to join CPR's two Standing Task Forces - see below.)

Committees

CPR Institute Committees are long-standing groups that over the years have analyzed challenges across these areas fundamental to dispute management, shared global best practices, published materials, and presented programming on cutting-edge issues.

Arbitration Committee

Dispute Prevention Committee

Employment Disputes Committee

Mediation Committee

Industry Alliances

In addition to the above Committees, CPR connects members by industries they ally with and across industries to harness their insights and experiences to promote a global culture of dispute prevention and resolution.

While differing industry sectors have different needs, they also share a common purpose in wanting to better manage conflict to reduce costs and get back to business.

CPR convenes industry alliance groups separately and collectively. There are currently six alliances that pursue individual or collective task force projects as well as industry-specific or cross-industry programming.

Banking and Financial Services Alliance

Construction Advisory Alliance

Energy, Oil, and Gas Alliance

Healthcare and Life Sciences Alliance

Insurance Alliance

Technology Advisory Alliance

CPR Working Task Forces are groups that convene to study and assess practices, rules, issues and other focused topics in dispute resolution and prevention. They have produced manuals, guides, protocols, model clauses and other tools and resources for use across the field of ADR or, in particular, for administration by CPR Dispute Resolution. These groups are also limited to participation by CPR members. For information about the topics these groups are studying, please visit the working task forces website page.
