CPR’s Africa Arbitration Day- New York (AAD-NY) is a day-long conference which includes a student arbitration moot competition, several substantive panel discussions, and a networking cocktail reception.
Mission
The purpose of AAD-NY is to: (i) highlight important issues in international arbitration pertinent to the Africa region (ii) foster greater community among international arbitration practitioners in North America and Africa; and (iii) help develop the next generation of Africa-related arbitration practitioners.
History
CPR held the inaugural AAD-NY on December 8, 2023 at the New York City Bar Association. It was such a resounding success that it has become an annual CPR event.
The 2nd annual CPR AAD-NY was held on November 1, 2024, and hosted by White & Case LLP.
The 3rd annual CPR AAD-NY will be held on November 14, 2025, and will be hosted by DLA Piper.
