The rapid growth of AI, technology, and digital innovation is creating increasingly complex cross-border disputes involving software, data, trade secrets, patents, licensing, AI systems, and digital assets. But which disputes are best suited for litigation, arbitration, mediation, or hybrid dispute resolution processes?

Organised in collaboration with the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS), the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), JAMS, and the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR Institute), this session explores the disputes that most commonly arise in the AI, technology, and innovation sectors and examines which forum is best suited for each. Drawing on perspectives from both the United States and Singapore, the discussion will consider the practical factors that shape forum selection, including confidentiality, technical expertise, speed, interim relief, enforceability, cost, and preserving commercial relationships.
