Join the Young Leaders in Alternative Dispute Resolution (Y-ADR) Steering Committee for an in-person “Speed Mentoring” event on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 6 PM to 8 PM ET

Now in its fourth year and continuing on the success of last year's NYC-based program, our popular "Speed Mentoring" series will now be offered for practitioners in the Washington DC area!

This is an In-Person Event - no remote option is available for this event.

In this engaging and interactive mentoring and skills-building program, attendees will:

  1. Hear from several experienced mid- to senior-level ADR practitioners (in-house counsel, academics, private practitioners, and neutrals) who will share the practical professional and career advice they wish they had received when they were starting out their legal careers. See the list below.
  2. Have the opportunity to participate in a fast-paced and fun speed mentoring session with each experienced practitioner where you can ask them the candid questions you always wanted to have answered.
  3. Enjoy an opportunity to network and socialize with mentors and fellow attendees during a networking cocktail reception to close out the evening.

This program will feature opening remarks by CPR's Vice President of Global Initiatives, Knar Nahikian, and then the opportunity to connect with mentors during the speed mentoring sessions.

*Young ADR Practitioners are defined as 45 years old and younger, or those with less than 8 years of professional experience in international or domestic ADR practice or other areas of conflict prevention and resolution. Law students are also welcome to attend this event.

Meet our Speakers! 

Sudhanshu Roy represents sovereign States, state-owned entities and corporates in high‑stakes international commercial and investor‑state disputes under ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL, SCC, LCIA, ICDR and SIAC rules, as well as arbitration related litigation before U.S. courts. His cases have involved clients and counterparties connected to United State, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Mauritius, Croatia, Ukraine and Qatar, with related award-enforcement and annulment matters pursued before U.S. courts and ICSID.

Haley L. Wasserman focuses her practice on international litigation and arbitration. Haley has represented companies and sovereign states in disputes before a variety of courts and arbitral institutions, and spanning a broad array of subject matters, including energy, telecommunications, media, medical devices, and infrastructure projects.  Haley has successfully argued dispositive motions, taken and defended dozens of depositions, and presented opening arguments and examined witnesses at hearings.

Haley was recognized as a “Rising Star” by the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (“CPR”) in 2023. The Legal 500 named her a “Rising Star” in 2023 and 2024, and a “Leading Associate” in International Litigation in 2025.

Outside the firm, Haley teaches a seminar on Advocacy in International Arbitration at Yale Law School, and coaches Yale Law School’s Vis Moot Team. Haley is a member of CPR’s Steering Committee for Young Leaders in Alternative Dispute Resolution. She also serves as an arbitrator for the D.C. Bar Attorney-Client Arbitration Board, and a mediator for the District of Columbia Superior Court. 

Haley graduated magna cum laude from Northwestern University School of Law. Before law school, Haley worked as an International Trade Policy Officer for the Government of Alberta in Canada. She graduated from McGill University as Class Valedictorian.

Ms. Ozolins focuses her practice on international investment and commercial arbitration matters. She has had the opportunity to represent clients in disputes spanning various industry sectors, including banking, pension fund management, natural resource extraction, taxation, construction, real estate, and food retail and distribution, among others.

She has worked on investor-state arbitrations under the arbitration rules of ICSID, the ICSID Additional Facility, and UNCITRAL, representing foreign states. Additionally, Ms. Ozolins has advocated for private companies in international commercial arbitrations administered by institutions like SIAC, ICC, DIFC-LCIA, and the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration. She also contributes to the firm's practice advising clients on navigating sanctions regimes established by the US, EU, and UK.

Karthik is a seasoned lawyer with expertise in advising MNCs, sovereigns, and SOEs on disputes and internal investigations involving complex international law and local law issues in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Currently, serving as Assistant General Counsel (International Litigation) at Kimberly-Clark. Previous experience includes working as Senior Counsel at RTI International, a leading implementer of USAID and other international development projects in over 75 countries. Prior to that, served as Senior Associate at White & Case LLP for over 11 years, representing multinational corporations and sovereign clients in high-stakes international commercial arbitrations, investment treaty arbitrations, ancillary U.S. court proceedings, and white-collar matters.

Angela Healey is Assistant General Counsel and Director at General Dynamics Corporate Headquarters in Reston, VA where she handles anti-bribery and corruption compliance, litigation, and investigations. Prior to her current role, Angela was Senior Assistant General Counsel at General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT where she supported the nation's premier designer and builder of nuclear submarines. She also clerked on the Connecticut Appellate Court for the Honorable Nina F. Elgo and was an Associate at McCarter & English in Hartford, CT. In private practice, Angela focused on business litigation and appellate matters.

Alongside her career, Angela is a classical violinist and volunteers her time performing for local orchestras and theater groups. She is on the Gala Committee of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra and is a member of the Connecticut Women’s Council. Angela also is a member of the Board of Directors at Feeding Families Foundation, a non-profit that aims to eliminate food insecurity for the caregivers of critically ill children who are admitted to the hospital. Angela attended Quinnipiac School of Law and the University of Hartford's Hartt School of Music.
