Ulyana Bardyn of Eversheds Sutherland and Giovanni Zarra of Hogan Lovells moderated the discussion which featured, a fireside chat with Mark Stadnyk of thyssenkrupp nucera. The conversation focused on trends in the energy industry, with a particular emphasis on the hydrogen market.

This meeting featured a presentation by Eric Ives, Senior Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel at the U.S. Department of Commerce, who discussed the Department of Commerce's work in building ADR and commercial law frameworks around the world.
December 5, 2024 - "Remedies in Investment Arbitration: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly"
This panel included Caroline Richard of Freshfields, Mark Kantor, Carla Chavich of Compass Lexecon, Karthik Nagarajan of Kimberly-Clark and Chris Polson of PwC, and was attended by more than 60 people. The panel focused on the challenges and implications of addressing damages in investment arbitration and explored the broader impact of these issues on arbitration practices.
September 23, 2024 - Investment Disputes Subcommittee Kickoff
The Investment Disputes Subcommittee, a joint collaboration between CPR’s Arbitration Committee and the Banking & Financial Services Alliance.
Co-Chairs Caroline Richard of Freshfields and Surya Gopalan of White & Case, assisted by Secretary Giovanni Zarra of Hogan Lovells led a lively discussion with 20 participants. The Subcommittee agreed to present a program on Remedies in Investment Disputes December 5 as part of Washington Arbitration Week and to prepare an Early Case Assessment Toolkit adapted to investment disputes. The Subcommittee will also consider several proposals of potential work product regarding mediation of investment disputes.
