Intellectual Property Disputes Committee
Many businesses depend on intellectual property as their lifeblood. Some IP disputes are amenable to non-judicial resolution, potentially saving costly commercial disruption. The Intellectual Property Disputes Committee works to discern where and how ADR is best deployed in relationships concerning patent, trademark, copyright and know-how.
Past works of the IP Committee include Patent Mediation: Better Solutions for Business of the Master Guide Series, our Patent Arbitration and Mediation Model Clauses, and The CPR Patent Mediation Task Force’s Effective Practices Protocol and Why Patent Mediation Works, as well as Patent & Trade Secret Arbitration Rules.
The Co-Chairs of the Intellectual Property Disputes Committee are Michael Timmons of Johnson & Johnson and William Honaker of Dickinson Wright PLLC.
