Mediation is the go-to ADR tool for most insurance coverage lawyers. But what happens when the typical format fails to bridge the gap? In this program, we examine the shortfalls of a typical mediation that are particularly relevant to coverage disputes and explore a range of underutilized dispute resolution techniques that can break impasses.
From alternative mediation formats such as co-mediation, to novel means of creating informational alignment such as expert hearings, to settlement masters, special masters, and non-binding arbitration, attendees will leave with a broader perspective on dispute resolution in insurance coverage cases.
