2023 Partner of the Year

Press Releases,

CPR ANNOUNCES CYNTHIA RANDALL OF MICROSOFT IS PARTNER OF
THE YEAR 2023

New York, NY, March 7, 2024 – The International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR), a global non-profit organization that helps others manage conflict so that they might better pursue their purpose, announced Cynthia Randall, Deputy General Counsel, Litigation, at Microsoft is the CPR Partner of the Year for 2023.

The CPR Partner of the Year award is given to that member who has made outstanding contributions to the thought leadership of the CPR Institute, who has shown exceptional engagement with CPR’s activities, and who has demonstrated meaningful commitment to CPR’s mission of dispute prevention and resolution.

Randall is a member of the CPR Council and co-chair of CPR’s Technology Advisory Alliance committee. She is a frequent speaker at the CPR Annual Meeting and other CPR events. Additionally, Randall advocates for the development of an efficient and effective culture within Microsoft, by, for example, ensuring that Microsoft litigation lawyers avail themselves of training in mediation and dispute prevention. She also encourages the widespread adoption of dispute prevention and early resolution mechanisms among the broader legal community.

CPR’s work is based on the contributions of its members. We are blessed every year with volunteers who make possible our contributions to the field of ADR.  This year we are honored to recognize Cindy who has gone above and beyond in giving her time, leadership, and intellect to CPR’s projects,” said Helena Tavares Erickson, Acting CEO and SVP of the CPR Institute.

“I am honored and touched to receive this award, and grateful to CPR for the opportunity to partner in its critical work,” said Randall. “CPR has inspired me to make the prevention and early resolution of disputes a core priority, which has fundamentally changed how I think about my role as a litigator.  It is a privilege to work with this incredible community of thought leaders and I look forward to our continued partnership!”
