CPR Institute Announces Keynote Speaker for 2027 Annual Meeting: Shelley Sullivan Tynan

CPR Institute is pleased to announce that Shelley Sullivan Tynan, Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for Ochsner Health, shall be featured as the Keynote Speaker for its Annual Meeting, "Vision to Vanguard: Innovating the Next Era of Conflict Management," scheduled for February 3 to 5, 2027, in New Orleans. 

A litigator by training and experience, Tynan has spent the past 20 years at Ochsner Health, advising executive leadership, boards of directors, physicians, and operational leaders on a broad range of complex legal, governance, and healthcare regulatory issues. Her areas of expertise include medical staff matters, labor and employment law, risk management, governance, and strategic organizational decision-making.

Throughout her career, Shelley has been deeply engaged in the evolving legal, regulatory, and governance challenges facing healthcare organizations. She is a frequent advisor on matters involving physician leadership, medical staff governance, board responsibilities, compliance, risk management, and the intersection of law and healthcare operations.

Prior to joining Ochsner, Shelley practiced law with Jones Walker LLP, where she worked in the Labor and Employment section. Before entering private practice, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Edith Brown Clement, both on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana and subsequently on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Tynan received her J.D. from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center and a B.A. in Government and International Relations from the University of Notre Dame.  

The 2027 Annual Meeting Steering Committee received a record number of program submissions for this year’s event, which brings together leading ADR professionals for engaging panels and interactive discussions to explore emerging trends, key challenges, and practical approaches to commercial arbitration, mediation, dispute management, and dispute prevention. 

Registration will open in early October for the CPR Annual Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, February 3 to Friday, February 5, 2027, at the JW Marriott, 614 Canal St. in New Orleans.
