1. What has been a beneficial aspect of engaging with the CPR Institute for you personally or professionally? 

The CPR’s Corporate Counsel Connection has been a wonderful way to get insight from other in-house attorneys on issues that we all face on a day-to-day basis. 

2. Is there a moment in your career that you are most proud of? 

Winning my very first trial was a proud moment in my career! I am also very proud of my pro bono work and the results I was able to get for my clients.  

3. At what point did you realize that this career choice was best for you? 

I represented a veteran with the Connecticut Veterans Legal Center to get her access to benefits that she desperately needed. We wrote a successful brief and coached the veteran on using her new benefits. It was an incredible honor to be able to help a military family and the results changed their lives.   

4. What personal characteristics are most beneficial to you in your career? 

As a classically trained musician, I gained valuable skills that formed the foundation of my legal career. My experience performing violin on various stages translated to confidence in the courtroom and public speaking. My approach to practicing a symphony or concerto carried over to a methodical approach in legal analysis.    

5. What goal(s) do you hope to accomplish in the near future? 

I hope to continue to learn and grow in my current role. Most of all, I hope to be a strong role model for my daughter.  

6. How can people with an interest in ADR get hands-on experience to further their career? 

Go to more CPR Institute Programs! I continue to learn new perspectives and methods at every CPR event and program.
