Technology Advisory Committee: The Promise and Potential of Web3

Committee Co-Chair Cindy Randall of Microsoft kicked off the Technology Advisory Committee’s first meeting of the year by giving a recap of CPR’s 2022 Annual Meeting. The Committee also discussed current and potential projects for members to get involved in. The Committee was joined by guest speaker David Kerr, Principal, Cowrie LLC, Research Fellow, DAO Research Collective. David is a leading voice in the regulatory environment surrounding web3, speaking frequently on matters of entity structuring, decentralization and regulatory compliance. David will speak on the emerging technology and organizations utilizing the blockchain. In particular, he will discuss the rapid proliferation of DAOs, the benefits and limitations of web3 and the opportunity for decentralized technologies and organizations to work in conjunction with (not replace) existing centralized processes.
